Welcome to NFTyLit

I’m Bonaven, an author/artist publishing works on the Blockchain using NFTs. (Non-Fungible Tokens)

An early advocate of NFT art and literature, I work exclusively in a 500 word, macro fiction format, with deeply connected emotional groundings, integrating organic and digital imagery.

My pieces are imagined for expansive display from smart phones to 8k monitors, allowing continued discoveries of meaning through textures and the written word.

See what I'm up to on my Projects page.

I've coined a few terms to help define this new creative space that I'm working in. NFTyLit, (pronounced Nifty-Lit), is short for NFT Literature. MonoNFT, (pronounced Mono-Nift) describes a grayscale NFT. NFTograph, (a riff off of lithograph, pronounced Nifto-graph)

While Micro Fiction is traditionally 100-300 words or less, Sudden Fiction 750 words, and Flash Fiction 1,000 words, I've dubbed my chosen story length of 500 words Macro Fiction.

A lifetime of musical exploration has led to the integration of audio waveforms in my work.

My avatar on the upper left of this page is an audio waveform of "Bonaven".

My pieces integrate the audio waveform of the spoken title prominently in each piece.

Testimonials

What people are saying about my work

"Bonaven reaches deeply into his soul and finds the words to touch ours. His writing is cinematic while finding a deep voice to convey the heart of the matter. These compelling pieces will enlighten and make you connect to your own life's conflicts with compassion."

“Bonaven captures loss and hope. He weaves sorrow and joy. He writes with intimacy and truth and always an adventurer’s spirit. Whether he writes of the night a man discovers that being open to tomorrow doesn’t require shutting the door on yesterday—when a man, lost to himself because of the loss of a loved one, discovers “broken” and “mend” can occupy the same bed, that he can return to himself, that union is again within reach, that what was emptied can be refilled—or anything else he puts his pen to, Bonaven shows us that, with courage, healing is possible. And a multitude of other things, as well. His writing brings us all in, no matter what he writes about.”

Mission Statement

I believe that art is life, and should support life and future art.

In that spirit, 5% of all of my NFT sales purchased from me and 5% of all future royalties on re-sales of my pieces, will be distributed as charitable gifts to verified charitable 501c organizations that support humanistic and creative causes.

We are all connected through life, emotion, and experience.

For me, the blockchain is more than math, id strings, and a digital networked ledger.

The blockchain supports interaction unencumbered by centralized controls, from individual to individual.

We have the power to make these interactions positive ones to bring us all a little closer and enrich each other’s lives.

Looking forward to your creations.

Attention Writers!

My Call To Action

It’s my hope that, like artists and musicians who are already discovering the freedom in bringing their work directly to the public through the Blockchain, that writer’s will produce NFT Literature to self-publish and make a living using without waiting to be published by a third party, and find their audience using their own art or partnering with artists to illustrate their stories. I'm launching two resources in 2022 mentioned below to further this objective.

NFTyLit Curated Creators

Curating content for NFTyLit pieces for others is a dream of mine.

A place to showcase other Author/Artists as well as Authors teaming up with Artists to produce NFTs for collectors interested in such works.

In that spirit I'm creating a curated art space for NFTyLit at Artiva to show other creator's pieces including my own.

My goal is to minimize curation fees and build a community of creator's interested in these types of pieces while building a following of collector's who value both literature and art and would be interested in collecting NFTyLit works.

A simple placeholder is up right now on Artiva.

If this artistic space interests you, please reach out and say hi!
